Pour d\u00e9marrer une nouvelle t\u00e2che, s\u00e9lectionnez \u00ab\u00a0Cr\u00e9er une t\u00e2che\u00a0\u00bb dans le menu Fichier.<\/p>

S\u00e9lectionnez la base de donn\u00e9es et cliquez sur “Ouvrir” ou double-cliquez sur la base de donn\u00e9es. Une fois votre base de donn\u00e9es ouverte, un \u00e9cran appara\u00eetra pour continuer avec les \u00e9tapes suivantes.<\/p>

Plusieurs tables dans une base de donn\u00e9es<\/p>

Si plusieurs tables existent dans la base de donn\u00e9es, une fen\u00eatre appara\u00eetra r\u00e9pertoriant les tables et le nombre d’enregistrements dans chaque table. S\u00e9lectionnez le tableau que vous souhaitez utiliser, puis double-cliquez ou cliquez sur “Termin\u00e9”.<\/p>

Si vous avez besoin d’importer plusieurs tableaux \u00e0 partir de la m\u00eame feuille de calcul, vous devrez r\u00e9p\u00e9ter ce processus en utilisant la fonctionnalit\u00e9 Fusionner dans le travail pour chaque tableau.<\/p>

Fichiers texte<\/p>

Selecting Address Fields<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

iAddress\u2122 will automatically attempt to match the database fields to the appropriate iAddress\u2122 fields. You can override these entries and select fields iAddress\u2122 was unable to locate.\u00a0From the drop down list under each iAddress\u2122 field, scroll and select the database field that corresponds to the information required by the program.<\/span><\/p>

For example:<\/span><\/strong><\/div>
  1. Click the down arrow below the Last Name field to bring up the drop down list<\/span><\/li>
  2. Select the field that contains the Last Name information<\/span><\/li>
  3. You can assign a name to your job. If you do not assign a name, a default description for your job will be used.<\/li>
  4. Ensure you have filled in all required fields and any of the optional fields, then click \u201cOK\u201d.<\/li><\/ol>

    Single Field Data<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

    Canada:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

    • City, Province and\u00a0Postal Code<\/span>OM<\/span>, you must check the \u201cOne Field: City Province Postal \/ ZIP\u201d box<\/span><\/li>
    • City and Province, you must check the \u201cOne Field: CityProvince\u201d box\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>

      \u00a0US<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

      • City, State, and\u00a0Zip Code<\/span>TM<\/span>, you must check the \u201cOne Field: City State Zip(Zip+4)\u201d box<\/span><\/li>
      • City and State, you must check the \u201cOne Field: City State\u201d box<\/li><\/ul>

        \u00a0You will then be prompted for the field name containing this information<\/span><\/p>

        Multiple Field Components<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

        • If your address is split into many field components (eg. apartment, street number, street name, etc.), click the button to the right of the first address line. Select all address line components in the order you want them to appear and click Done.<\/li><\/ul>

          Language Indicator (Canada)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

          • If your database has a field that indicates whether the entry is French or English and you wish to use this information in your correction, select the appropriate field from the drop-down menu. Beside each language, enter the appropriate code.<\/li><\/ul>

            To view your data<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

            • If you are unsure of the data contained in the fields, use the horizontal scroll bar below the database box to scroll left and right. This scroll bar will also allow you to see what will appear in the iAddress\u2122 fields. Fill in any field, then scroll left and right.<\/li><\/ul>

              Using Templates<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

              • If you frequently create jobs using the same data file, you can create a template. This template stores the field information so you do not have to select your fields when creating a new job.<\/li><\/ul>

                Character Set<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

                • This option tells iAddress\u2122 what type of system the data originated from so that it can \u201ctranslate\u201d various computer codes. The default is Windows; some users require OEM if their data did not originate from a Windows-based system.<\/li><\/ul>

                  Using Customer Information<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

                  • If you have entered information on your customers under Company Information, you can use the drop-down here to select them. This will display their name and their associated USPS or Canada Post account number on reports.<\/li><\/ul>

                    Remove Header Row<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

                    • If you are using an Excel File and the first row contains the column headers, select this option to use the first row as column headers.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
